An over night rise is normal, call your doctor or diabetes educator and tell them.

Yeah, I hadn't eaten in about 14 hours and was just a little surprised by such a rise.

I haven't drank , or eaten anything since.

At 8:30 am (this am), my bgl was 142.

We are not pleased.

Talking through my hat, but the 10 rise in 2 minutes sounds like a testing error.

Was your 8:30 am reading taken after a shower? Even a small amount of soap/bodywash residue on the skin can wildly affect readings.

Two weeks ago I was startled by the scene at a professional daycare I see a couple kids at. Agitated chin wearer in another Dad's face complaining loudly out front while blocking the entrance area with his four door jacked up never left the pavement Supper Duty ;) and inside a really loud completely packed reception area. Exposure was verified, no kids for me there this week.

that sounds scary but I still haven't figured out the scene.  You weren't able to go it because of the lack of social distancing and excess of dickheads?

Most people keep their residence in some kind of presentable order so it looks ok if friends or relatives stop by.
The one place that gets some slack is the bedroom because people don't see that unless they're good friends. So there's a pile of dirty clothes, maybe some books on the floor along the wall under the windows, Aunt Mary's birthday present for next week sits next to the books. You know what I'm talking about.

Having once or twice accidently seen some porn pictures/video I get a kick out of the amateurs shooting in the bedroom.

The two shortest fads in American history were "raw water" and "in your face street preaching".  In both cases it was because your poop left your body at uncontrolled rates, only for different reasons.

Looks like Google went out of their way to make Google Earth less than it was.  Even the positively ancient version I was using so it would work with my ancient version of Firefox was better than this.  Why would they make the image quality worse?  Why would they make the way you move the globe around more difficult?  Why are you going that way? I'm not moving you that way.  This way, over here.  No, this way.  Goddamn you, I'll do without.

My new-ish next-door neighbor moved here because she was widowed.  It happened during the pandemic, so no real funeral.  Tomorrow she is having a memorial function in the backyard .  The tent is so big it's in my backyard too.  (not a problem)  .......but I'm just wondering if it would be wrong to hold a rave under there after they're done?

Yeah, I'm not a fan but it was the 4th... of course my neighbors switched to firearms at 10:45 last night. Benny seems to be getting more used to it, since it is constant.

Not a fan.

Window rattling, chest concussing, adrenaline squirting jump scares by assholes.  Yeah, let's spin the roulette wheel of fiery death.  It is crispy out here, but, hey, 'merica!

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nhl/jackets/2021/07/05/matiss-kivlenieks-blue-jackets-goalie-dies-tragic-accident/7864545002/The findings of a preliminary autopsy on former Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks indicated Monday that he died Sunday of chest trauma from an errant fireworks blast. Kivlenieks was 24.Earlier on Monday, the Blue Jackets announced Kivlenieks' death in a "tragic accident."The Oakland County (Michigan) Medical Examiner’s office listed the official cause of death in the preliminary autopsy as "fireworks mortar blast, chest trauma."Police in Novi, Michigan, said a mortar-style firework tilted slightly and started to fire toward people nearby Sunday night. Kivlenieks was in a hot tub and tried to get clear with several other people, police Lt. Jason Meier said. Originally police said the young Latvian slipped and hit his head on concrete, with the team saying Kivlenieks' death resulting from an apparent head injury in a fall.
