Not as tasty looking, but I made harissa chicken meatballs, too.  I needed to add more harissa, but it was my first time using it and when I tasted it, it was spicy to me.

If by "recently" you mean right now, then this:

Re: What have you cooked recently

I apologize for making a post that was truly not ready for prime time.

I'm new at *.boardhost.com and we're getting to know each other.  You guys know me, of course, but the site is still ... skeptical of me.  What it is trying to glean from its elliptical inquiries about my ability to differentiate fire hydrants from trees or motorcycles from the 'rona is beyond the wit of man, at least *this man*.

Anyhow, I've been able to reproduce and document the process to create a post that has an image visible to my fellow dwellars.  This is PROVISIONAL, since I thought I also had this shit down over in a voting thread where my pics of my voting process were visible as pics, but now just fucking Maltese links.  Teh Cellar image persists though and I think I've been able to reproduce that perisistence.  We shall see.

Meanwhile, that's a lot of pork butt smokin'.

Re: What have you cooked recently

Last night i made pizza and we were uncharacteristically moderate and ended up with 2 unused doughs. Tonight i am making Stromboli with the dough.

Re: What have you cooked recently

Tonight we had tacos.

The smoked pulled pork was reheated (works like spaghetti, gets better overnight). While the pork was warming up in the oven, I made the corn tortillas. This was the first time I used masa and they're ridiculously simple to make, and delicious. Twil cut up the toppings, avocado, mango, and kale slaw. A little crema, a little hot sauce, a squeeze of fresh lime.

Daaaaaayum.

Re: What have you cooked recently

The tortillas, not real pretty, but there were an equal number of complaints and leftovers--zero.

BigV - That's a lot of meat!  Also, I made tortillas once.  I think I cooked them too long because they were crumbly

I made half of this recipe into one meal

I made a breakfast "casserole" all on my own.  It's fantastic heated up in the toaster oven

Re: What have you cooked recently

This will be my contribution to our Thanksgiving meal:

(Their picture, not mine)

It's Roasted Cauliflower and it's freakin delicious.  I've made it twice before and this is a command performance for the feast.  When I see a recipe I'm often reminded of the bit in Pirates of the Carribean "The recipe is more of guidelines than actual rules" (I paraphrase).  I added sweet potato, green cauliflower, bacon instead of pancetta and I made my own olive mix.  Delicious.

I'll try to remember to take pictures tomorrow.  There will be three of us in the kitchen and only the one oven.  Might be crowded.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Re: What have you cooked recently

Today I fished out the tub with the half can of Heinz beans in it out of the fridge and heated in the microwave.  I made toast, dumped the beans on, topped with grated cheese and freshly ground black pepper :D

Re: What have you cooked recently

Point of order: "low sugar" is only meaningful in terms of flavor. In terms of carbs/diabetes, starch (what it starts out as) is overall just as impactful as fructose (what it converts to as it ripens,) it just takes slightly longer to enter the bloodstream because your digestive system has to work harder to break it down. If you eat a bunch of underripe bananas, your blood sugar will still be as impacted as if you ate a bunch of savory crackers.
