meteor shower

these were really good ones.. leaving, like, a smoke trail in the sky. if you're in the northern hemisphere, anytime before dawn of the 13th is prime time

I've made special efforts to observe at least 100 predicted meteor showers over 70 years.
I have had the unlucky experience of having those "events" surpass a normal night about 10 or 15 times.
One of the many reasons I disliked the Army was that it put me in triple canopy jungle in the middle of monsoon on 11/17/66 when the Leonids produced up to 40 meteors per second.

Which only proves again that a Leonid shower does not wash off sweat.  What good is a shower that does not even make the grass grow?  And yet somehow we are suppose to enjoy it?
