Feeling bad for the guy who instigated Jan 6 would be quite an ask but feeling bad for the state of our country's politics is easy enough. We can't descend into one bullet one vote. We know that guns change the mindset of people. Those with guns must (should) have extensive training. To remain adult when enticed by the power and increased ego that a gun creates. He was a registered Republican. His Republican father bought him the gun. Since (for some reason) it is good for kids to have assault rifles. To protect themselves. To hunt deer. And to hunt humans.
