America has spoken

So as the title suggests, the US election is over and the votes have been cast.

72,652,827 votes cast 50.8% of the vote went to Trump

This from a man who has been found guilty of 34 counts of felony charges of falsified business accounts
(ie) fraud
Been found guilty of sexual abuse (abet only in a civil court) however compensation will have to be paid in millions to the woman concerned.
During his first term in office he was found have made (fact checkers documented) 30,573 false or misleading claims anywhere between 6 to 21 per day depending on where you read.

Can someone over the pond explain to me why this man was even allowed to stand and run as President

Re: America has spoken

I don't think the Constitution says felons can't run.  But I could be wrong, and there might be some language in there.  The founding fathers had faith in future generations and didn't think they had to spell out every possible scenario.

The Constitution is even vague about what is treason.  That is why we are suppose to have a Supreme Court that defines this stuff. Based in facts; not emotions.  Sometimes does not (ie Dread Scott).

He did tax cuts for the rich. This is like having a genie in a bottle that grants infinite wishes.

Re: America has spoken

The total chaos Trump and his administration of Deadbeats has caused in the short number of weeks in power has even astounded me.
The countries he has pissed off so far

Canada, Mexico, Ukraine, Germany, France, UK, Denmark, Palestine (Gaza and the west Bank ), Egypt, Jordan, Greenland, and the list goes on.
He's even putting pressure on Romania for them to go easy on Andrew Tate (fellow sex offender).
About the only fuckers that are happy are the Russians

Re: America has spoken

We are in the early stages of what may be a successful coup.
A group of rich white men fronted, but not led, by Donald Trump has turned a narrow electoral victory into a frenzy of grabbing control of every level of the US government.
With workable majorities in the Congress and the Supreme Court at their beck and call and total access to the White House, this cabal has outsmarted the American populace (and the Constitution too so far) and is on the way to cementing power.
It is now just a race between an irreversible takeover and what resistance may develop.
They are ahead right now.

Re: America has spoken

Simply view every American company that started failing.  In every case, business school graduates took over.  Dennys was once a hottest stock on Wall Street.  Revolutionizing diners and restaurants.  When TW Enterprises took over, they implemented cost controls. And management that knew nothing about food and food services.   Management decisions from spread sheets.  In ten years, most all Dennys were gone.  But top management enriched themselves.  The purpose of a company according to business schools.

Musk's "geniuses" are only dong what Trump always does.  Cut costs.  Have no idea how the work gets done.  Or why (for example) a civil service is so productive.  His bean counters (communists - also called despots) are experts because they use paper to make all decisions.  Have no idea what patriots are doing.

And so, for example,  they fired all experts who protect and maintain this nation's nuclear weapon systems.  But then Putin is a friend.  An honest man.  Trump said so in Helsinki in a press conference.  With Putin standing right (actually left) next to him.  Anti-Americans.  Doing exactly what Trump has done his entire life.

Remember - and constantly noted: Trump has never run a single profitable company.  Not one.  And yet, praises Al Capone.  Who did same to enrich himself and close allies.  Same is taught in business schools.

We must cut costs in government.  While giving tax cuts to the richest people.  And eliminate all corporate taxes.  While enriching this nation's least productive companies using tariffs.

Whereas a business school graduate is essential as the CFO, he is also a greatest threat to all of America if a CEO. This is also why finance people must be heavily regulated.

Fortunately we have this thing called bankruptcy that eliminated such people.  Either before they do damage to America.  Or too late so that everyone must lose their job.  Or third, patriotic American companies from other nations buy out the shell created by business school graduates.  Need an example?  Almost all American tire companies.  Most of the divisions in General Electric.  America cannot even design a build a reliable Navy ship or Coast Guard cutter.  All those even had to be scrapped.

We desperately need Nippon Steel to save US Steel.  If it can, at all, be saved.  Since US Steel has been anti-American since the mid 1960s.  When even Kennedy confronted them for doing bad things to America.

So many, who for decades in the Cellar denied this, I suspect, are finally conceding a reality.  Even the murder of seven Challenger astronauts did not yet make this obvious enough.  Or Lordstown.  GM was going to innovate - so the MBAs said.  Finally made an EV.  Lordstown is now gone because GM refused to innovate over 20 years ago.  Cost controlled were even the manufacturing of lithium batteries.  A technology firrst developed in American in the early 1960s.  Gone because it required innovation.  Top GM management are bean counters.  How many even have driver's licenses?

GM today being among the more anti-American companies.  GM management will not innovate until a Federal regulation requires it.  Even though their employees try to innovate.

BTW who went to Lordstown claiming to save their jobs?  Trump.  A business school graduate just like George Jr.  Where is Trump now when it comes to acknowledging reality.  Business school graduates never admit their mistakes.  Since their mistakes only appear in the economy five, ten and twenty years later.  Their supporters often forget anything that is three months or a year ago.

America has not yet spoken.  As demonstrated by so many who love the destruction of America.  Do not understand why things must get tens of times worse before Americans (especially the many adults who are still children) finally have reality forced upon them.  Need we cite the lessons of Afghanistan?  Another war that Ameica was defeated in.  Bean counters even screwed that up.

Cite lessons from history?  Similar anti-Americans loved a lie called Vietnam.  And then Deja-Vue - a same lie in iraq.  Trump knows which Americans know only what a tweet orders them to believe.  As if they might understand (learn from) a lie that promoted 6 January.

No way to educate such people until they successfully "fuck things up".  Words right from an extremist. It is what he wanted.  So he too was a Trump supporter.

I’m beginning to see Americans become more resolute. I think the pushback will be effective if a little too slow to prevent long term issues.

My question is: When Trump flees to Russia, who goes with him?

How curious.  Right wing extremists in the military loved Guantanamo.  So that Gestapo tactics could be used on some 750 innocent prisoners.   In violation of American laws and the Constitution.  Why Guantanamo?  So that they could do anything they wanted. Especially torture. Were not held accountable even by the military's JAG Corp.

How curious.  Same extremist in the military declared a My Lai massacre as legitimate.

Now Guantanamo is used to deport undesirable illegal aliens.

Somebody, without any facts, declared them undesirable.  Not one fact is presented.  They are just arrested and deported where no laws can protect them.  Then extremist say this is good.

Same happened to over 800 prisoners.  Held in Guantanamo for decades without any rights.  Just like the Gestapo did.  Back when Americans were lying about over 700 innocent people in Guantanamo. Even advoated torture - just like the Gestapo.

We have no idea how many thousands are being held there.  Even law enforcement has no idea who is there.  Or why.  All we have is hearsay from government extremists.  Who even fire immigration judges.  When we need hundreds more.

Somehow you know more because extremists say so?  Somehow that is honesty?  Right back to the same lies and illogic that said Saddam had WMDs.  Deja Vue.  Just like lies that justified Vietnam.  And the wasting of 50,000 Americans in that lie.  And 5,000 Americans in Iraq.  Another extremist lie.

I feel he is an enemy.  In countries run by despots, than is always proof.  But then Trump loves Putin and other despots.  Even admires Al Capone.  Why then need we protect the right of immigrants?  Extremist use emotions to prove their righteousness.

As another has so accurately noted.  The Constitution is never about your rights.  It is always about the right of others.  Extremists forget that to promote lies.  Such as reasoning that says "Me, Me, Me".  And screw them.

How curious.   Posse Comitatus now justified because a president says breaking the law is justified if he only thinks it is good.  Of course it is good for him.  Just ask every despot in history.  They also used that (your) logic.

Re: America has spoken

Only those with history of insulting people are always the most evil losers in this world.

An adult posting insults like a child is not civil behavior.  Please learn how to be an adult.

Only you are bitching and moaning.  Described (accurately) is what is happening.  Nazi like behavior is again admired.  You have a long history of approving such behavior. Then get emotional when it is accurately described.

Deja Vue makes you angry.  Admit it.  You love and approve of torture.  And the violation of Constitutional rights for no purpose.  Using Guantanamo to again hide violations of fundamental human rights.

Even Putin would approve.  Curious that you and he share so many beliefs.

When I was at Benning School for Boys in the 60's, they had a lengthy program on the subject.
In that special Army way it became: "Pussy Coming at Us."

Re: America has spoken

His Highness has also voted in the UN with contempt for Ukraine.  Voting as Putin would order him.
From the BBC: "US opposed a European-drafted resolution condemning Moscow's actions and supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity."

The problem was obvious when Zelensky spoke before Congress.  Most congressmen often stood up and applauded.  Right wing extremists in Congress demonstrated hate for American principles.  They often sat on their hands.  Contempt for American friends and allies.

Don't be surprised.  King Donald told us he had a plan to end the "war" in Ukraine.

Name one thing he has gotten right in his entire life.

He has done exactly what is taught in business schools.  Enrich the central committee of the communist party.

Now more than 50% of America is owned by less than 1%.  What will all these firing do?  He is now proposing more tax cuts for corporations and the 1%.  The 1% now pay something less than 10% in taxes.  Many corporations, such as GE, now pay no taxes.  So we need more tax cuts.

It is what we voted for.  He is only doing what he always said he would do.
