The only account "deemed unacceptable" was when henry demanded that someone be IP banned.

"Please don't be sexist" isn't deeming any account unacceptable.

Guess what happens when there are two pages of active topics?  Yes, the second page is already marked as read when you switch to it.

"active topics" is similar to the original "new posts", but it marks all of the topics as read, whether you read them at that point or not.

Wasn't me;  I may have recommended his Mars trilogy, though.  If not, consider this that recommendation.

I'll throw in Iain M. Banks's Culture books as well (TV show currently in development).

And Steel Beach by John Varley.
