Good lord. Whose idea was that?

I think I want to start carring a little card scanner/Square thing and start asking vendors to tip me as a customer. "Did you enjoy having me purchase from you?" Tips are appreciated!

I really hope this gets momentum. You'll all thank me later.

Also working on a subscription system for stores that really like my business, they can subscribe to have me come to their store and purchase things.

That was Lumberjim. I still remember that thread.

My youngest as a toddler would often say “Easter bunny?” When it was nowhere near Easter. We finally figured it out. She fancied herself a comedienne (at 3 yrs old). She had a speech impediment and that that was as close as she could get to “Is that funny?”

So funny!

I am amazed at the current quality available, but even more so by current prices.
I've alternated between small Buck and Case pocketknives over the years, lamenting their inevitable losses but not crying over the cost.

Until these days! I can't believe what they are asking for a small Case pocket knife.  I really miss my Case XX Sodbuster Jr. with the liner lock.

On Saturday night, just before 10 p.m., Kaylin Gillis and a group of her friends were traveling in a caravan of two cars and a motorcycle that mistakenly drove up that same driveway. They were looking for a friend’s house — and were met with deadly gunfire, killing Ms. Gillis, 20.

About 20 miles. The millimeter's BFF lives about a mile or two away from the guy.

This happened the other day a few miles from my house. The guy is a complete shit for brains. I hope he gets life in prison. gun ownership should require more than just background checks. Owners should have to register and insure their firearms just like they do with automobiles. They should have to pass written and practical tests, just as with cars, and if they are complete assholes they should be denied.

https://gardens.si.edu/learn/blog/the-botany-of-magnolias/
"Magnolias evolved on Earth as far back as 95 million years ago during the Cretaceous period. While there were dinosaurs at that time, bees still did not exist, so magnolias evolved to be pollinated by ancient insects—you may know them today as beetles. Due to this relationship magnolia flowers have tough carpels—the female parts of the flower—to avoid damage from beetle mandibles as they feed looking for pollen. The carpels also mimic the stamens—the male parts of the flower—to help trick the beetle into spending more time on the flower and ensuring pollination. "
Seems the leaves also developed to be beetle proof.

And yeah, that foundation was a bit uplifted by the tree.

I'm in North Carolina visiting my sisters.

TIL that those big ass trees that I would have sworn were rhododendrons turned majestically sylvan are, in fact, Sweetbay Magnolias and not giant rhododendrons.

In my defense they don't really grow up north and the leaves fucking look exactly like rhododendrons. Nevertheless, I now have about 30 photos of giant Magnolia tress...

Yeah... Awhile back, Minifob sideswiped a guardrail while driving, and only much later discovered that what appears to be light cosmetic damage actually bent something enough that his passenger door will no longer open. (He never carries passengers, so we had no reason to try to open the passenger door for several months after the incident.) But we know that if we try to file an insurance claim, they're just going to total the car, and then we'll have to find a replacement which is fucking impossible right now. So we've decided it's just going to stay that way.

Sorry about ur finger and all but what did you expect letting a three year old drive your car? Mini-fob is three, right?
