Disingenuous - I needed it for a couple of political threads and had to look up the spelling. But it's a useful word for a lot of baloney comments you see online.

Not me. I don't have the patience for that. But Mrs. Z does — every month when the bills come in. It's one of many things that make our marriage work. She's good at the stuff I'm not and vice versa. We make a good team.

Exactly. Deep dish pizza is not pizza. It's a casserole.

Sigh. I didn't realize that David McCallum had passed. Most of the rest I had already heard. This is what it is to get old, I guess. The world you knew shrinks because the people you knew are leaving.

Not necessarily. We have a card on which we earn points. That card also charges no interest as long as we pay off at the end of each month. Which we do.

PB&J is not my favorite sandwich. But it’s tasty and filling and quick to make. So I have one from time to time.

Maybe it’s more than it appears. But the ‘Michigan Hot Dog’ looks like an all-beef wiener with chili and mustard. Which is can be found all over.

Not that you asked, but my favorite sandwich is the Philly Cheesesteak. Italian Beef (a Chicago thing) is right up there too.

Not commercially available either in Chicago or in the Northwest, where I’m at for the moment, is the chopped cheese (a New York thing I think). But recipes are available online and my family likes them.

More disturbing.  Why did you ask?

She’s very proud and happy to be in vet school. She volunteered it in a family group text. She’s one of the more interesting people I know.

We watched "A Christmas Carol" last night. The George C. Scott version, which is my favorite version. It sticks close to the book and cuts very little.

But I started looking up the various actors on imdb while I was watching. I was saddened to see how many of the actors have passed. Which is an emotional blip rather than logical. That version came out in 1984 — almost 40 years ago.

So RIP all those actors who help make my Christmas Christmassy every year.

Thank you all for your responses. I'm a poor corespondent. But I will try to show up more often than every other leap year.

I am not a morning person and I've mostly been able to arrange my life to suit that. But the little one wakes up at 6am which means the rest of the household does too. Ugh.

It is remarkably time consuming to take care of a young child — even when there are three of you and one is retired. But she's a lot of fun. Cute as a button and smart as a whip.

I had a couple of moments tonight to see how all you folks are doing. I hope everyone who celebrates had a great Thanksgiving. I only had to take care of the bird. The ladies did all the hard stuff.

Forget what all I mentioned last time, but I'm still working full time. When I do have some free time, I've been trying to learn to write fiction. I despair of my ever getting all the facets figured out. There's a lot of useless and/or conflicting advice out there. I do sort of have a story in mind, so there's that.
